WHO GETS PSORIASIS?
About 2.5% of the population. It is estimated that 80% of the people suffer from plaque psoriasis. Psoriasis affects men and women equally and across all socioeconomic groups. Although it may strike at any age, the most common age of onset is 15-20 years with a second smaller peak at 55-60 years. People with early onset are most likely to experience widespread and re-occurring psoriasis than those for whom psoriasis occurs later in life.
